Sem is an Italian brand that was created to meet the needs of an increasingly complex and constantly evolving global contract furniture market. The Sem project evolves from the Milani brand and develops in a complementary way to present chairs with simple and functional features, oriented to different contexts of use: working, residential and domestic environments. The products are designed to ensure comfort and well-being for the person, as well as adequate ergonomics able to comply with European and American regulations. The attention to the user and to the environment is for Sem a fundamental target along with the life cycle and compliance with social criteria.

The esponsibility, the listening and the flexibility are the basis concepts of SEM's line. The goal is to create a long lasting relationship with employees, designers, suppliers and partners in order to develop a "shared growth". SEM offers a range of dedicated services to support different needs thanks to a company organization that aims improvements in effectiveness and efficiency. This allowed us for example to offer to our clients a selection of products that are delivered within 7 days (Milani 7).
Fabric
SEM fabrics have been selected for their technical features, nuances and versatility which allow them to be widely used in different environments and backgrounds. Simplicity in maintenance is one of the peculiarities of our finishes. We recommend regular the use of the vacuum cleaner and for stains cleaning using the use of a damp cloth or brush, lightly dabbing the affected part.
Mesh
The peculiarity of the RT mesh is to make simplicity a strong point, its technical features combine good mechanical resistance to abrasion with ease in maintenance. For normal cleaning use water and liquid cleaners, colourless, and non-abrasive. It is recommended to leave the cleaner for a few minutes, and if necessary rub the surface with soft bristles brushes, then rinse with warm water. RV and TT are indefatigable technical fabrics, chosen for the perfect property of being used in tension on support frames. It is recommended to regularly use the vacuum cleaner with a smooth spout, without brushing.
Artificial leather
Artificial leather is a full-bodied and wrapping upholstery, easy to use, with excellent aesthetic results. The surface finish replicates the leather effect to the touch and sight. The artificial leather is made even more performing thanks to the new fireproofing techniques. Gently dust and, in case of slight stains, wipe the surface with a damp cloth or a solution of neutral cleaner, rinsing with water. Leave to dry avoiding direct exposure to sunlight.
Plastic
The plastic materials chosen represent a solution with high resistance characteristics, essential above all in contexts of wide use or in public spaces. For common maintenance it is sufficient to clean with a clean cloth wrung out in water or in a solution of water and a neutral cleaner. Remove soap residue immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive sponges and cleaning products containing alcohol, as they may scratch or damage the surface.
Wood
The wooden components emphasize the entire product, merging with the different upholstering and textures of our catalog. Beech varnished wood has been chosen for our bases thanks tho his characteristics of compactness and resistance. For cleaning it is recommended to use a clean cloth wrung out in water or in a solution of water and neutral cleaner. Remove soap residue immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cloths or sponges, as they may scratch the surface or affect the protective varnish .
Metals and Aluminium
Aluminum has been choosen instead of metal (where possible) because of its particular ductility and lightness and also for its 100% recyclability. For both materials it is recommended to clean with a clean cloth wrung out in water or in a solution of water and a neutral detergent. Immediately remove water residues with a clean, dry cloth. Avoid using abrasive cloths or sponges, as they may scratch the surface.
